Cashier rants

What the Hell is wrong with people?

You think that just because I'm a cashier that I'm below you?
Well I'm not.

You don't know what's going on in my life!
Maybe I'm in school to become a doctor or a lawyer!
Maybe I've gotten my degree in something but due to the poor economy I have to work as a cashier until I find a job in my field.
You don't know!
So don't treat me like I'm an idiot with no future just because I'm ringing up your clothing.

Odds are I'm probably smarter than you are especially since you feel the need to belittle me.
That just shows me that YOU are probably a moron.

If I make a mistake its because I'm HUMAN!
I'm allowed to make mistakes.
As long as I apologize and correct the mistake then you have no reason to treat me like shit.

Learn some fucking manners.

Banana ice cream

So I'm slightly addicted to Pinterest especially when I'm crazy bored.
During one of my pinning frenzies I came across a cute little post for banana ice cream.
It took me a couple days but I finally tried it out and here are the results.

Omgsh.
Best thing in the world right now. It tastes so so good!

Here's how I made it.

1. I used two bananas because I fudged up the recipe by throwing the whole banana in the freezer. -_-
You have to PEEL and cut up the banana and THEN put it in the freezer for one or two hours.

2. Dump the banana slices in a blender.

3. I added a little coconut milk because my blender needs a little liquid to work right.

4. Literally one spoon full of peanut butter.

5. Blend baby blend!!

6. When its smooth and creamy scoop it out and eat!

Delicious!!

Try it out and let me know what you think. Did you add anything to it?

Bunny

My love for Learnvest

Hey everyone!
I have been M.I.A. lately and I apologize.

I thought I'd drop in and give a quick review on something I fell in love with this past week.

www.learnvest.com

I am totally idiotic when it comes to controlling my finances.
I find myself frustrated at the end of the month when it comes time to pay bills and I have nothing left over.
Where the Hell did all my money go?! I think.
I have no savings and feel like I only make enough to pay my bills.

Oh boy was I wrong!

Turns out I make enough to pay my bills, put money away and! Do a little shopping!

They sync to your bank account (which is completely safe I checked before I synced mine.) And put all your purchases into individual folders.
Gorceries, bills, shopping, entertainment, etc.
You can move incorrectly labeled purchases into their correct folders and see what you spend all your money on.

They have you set your own budget and put your through bootcamps that teach you something new everyday about controlling your money.

I feel empowered by LearnVest and can't wait to finish my bootcamps so I can be the best financial diva I can be.

My next thing to try is the Android app loot!

Love,
Bunny

Guys and Girls

I generally prefer to hang out with guys over girls. I can swear and act perverted and not be judged.
I can play video games, laugh about stupid things, watch action or horror movies and argue about nerdy topics.
Most girls are a little too uptight for me. They're better for shopping and girl talk.

So recently I have befriended a male co worker and we've hungout a few times.
One day on Facebook I made a post about us hanging out and the next day was questioned about it at work from a girl friend of mine.
"Your husband don't care?!"  She asked me
"No." I said "why should he?"
She told me that her husband would never allow it and that girls and guys can't be friends if one is married.
I totally disagree.
"Well wouldn't it bother you if he was hanging out with another woman?" She asked.
"No." I said "I totally trust him. He's not about to cheat on me and if he does ill find out eventually and ill leave him."

I had a similar conversation with an older woman I know earlier today. She asked me who I was waiting for and when I told her who she asked
"What is he to you?" I looked at her confused and said
"A friend."
"Oh I thought maybe a boyfriend." She said and I told her that I'm getting married soon and that my guy friend is like a brother.
"Oh well you too can't be friends. Guys and girls aren't suppose to be friends if one is in a relationship."
I sighed and told her I didn't believe that.
Her reasoning was that one always falls for the other. This makes sense to me however, wont we face that same issue with a same gender friend? Especially in today's world.
Why should gender get in the way of friendship?

Here's how I see it.
When it comes to opposite sex friends it needs to be made clear from the beginning that it is a strictly platonic relationship.
If your in a relationship you should tell them.
From there as long as your significant other is okay with it, your being honest and the two friends don't hang out in non public places then there's nothing wrong with it.
If your in a relationship and you develop feelings for your friend then you don't truly want to be with your spouse.
If your friend develops feelings for you then you find a way to make it work letting your friend know that there's no chance or you end the friendship.

What do you think about opposite sex friendships?

My local JC Penney store review

Customer service is a big deal to me. As a retail employee I believe in always providing excellent customer service and as a customer I expect to always recieve excellent customer service.

This is why I have decided to start reviewing my local shops.
In these reviews I hope to provide my readers with honest reviews on customer service, price, atmosphere and general Ups and downs of my experiences.

I never really shopped at JC Penney on my own. I had many of experiences as a child of being dragged into a local Penneys by my Nana but had never gone in as a customer with the intention of buying.
I must say I was dissapointed.

I was never once greeted by an associate and I must have past a total of five. Not one paid any attention to me.
My first stop was the shoe department where I fully intended on purchasing a new pair of shoes.
Many caught my eye and one pair in particular I really wanted.
I must have stood in the shoe department for at least 15 minutes checking out the shoes and not once did either of the two sales women approach me asking if I needed help.
So I walked away.
I shouldn't feel like I am being a bother for wanting to buy a shoe.

My next stop was the clothes. I looked all around and found some really cute things but again I was never approached by an associate and I needed a different size in a top I loved.
I also noticed its one of those stores that don't really display their clothes so that just by looking around me I can see a majority of the available merchandise. They have a decent lay out in certain sections but all in all you have to dig.
I hate digging for clothes.
The perfect atmosphere for me is when everything is displayed and organized.

I went into the fitting room and tried on a pile of clothes. From an associates perspective you should always have a fitting room attendant. Not just for customer service reason but for loss prevention reasons! I can almost guarantee that a majority of their theft happens in the fitting rooms.

Most JC Penney stores now have a Sephora inside. I LOVE this. Sephora has amazing products and there aren't nearly enough stores around.
I stopped in Sephora to pick out some mascara and wasn't greeted by anyone until I had been in there for a few minutes. The woman was perfectly nice but tried a bit too hard to get me to buy an expensive mascara despite the fact that I told her I needed something affordable. She claimed she was currently wearing the $22 mascara and loved it then walked away when I insisted on the $12 one.
A side note on this sales woman.. she had so much makeup on I thought she was a drag queen at first glance. Which would have been amazing if she was a drag queen. I probably would have bought the $22 mascara from her had she been but she was just a tall woman with too much makeup. That turned me off to any advice she might give.
I made my purchase from the same sales woman and found myself irritated by her pushiness to by a replacement plan on a watch I was buying. I understand they have to sell them but if I don't want it then stop pestering me. Then when she rang up the $12 mascara she claimed to be wearing that same one.
Uhm..didn't you just say you were wearing the other one?
I don't look too kindly on lying.

When everything was purchased I left for home and returned the next day to make a return.

The second experience was a little better.
I got a cashier named Julie and she was very professional and genuine. She had a short conversation with me and even helped me look for a new pair of jeans without being too pushy.
Now THAT is what customer service is.
Thank you Julie.

Overall grading for JC Penney West Covina, CA

Customer service: D (would have been an F if not for Julie)
Prices: B+
Atmosphere: B-
Overall grade: C

Thanks for reading!
Let me know how to improve my reviews!

Loreal Nail Color Review

My eyes are always drawn to the beautiful colors and bottles in the Loreal section of makeup aisles.
It took me months but I finally gave in and purchased my first Loreal nail color.

The first color I purchased was Paparazzi Pleaser. (As suggested by the Spoiled LA Girls.)
It was a beautiful deep purple color that I absolutely love!
Unfortunately, it chipped in a matter of days.

I decided to give it another try and picked up a lighter color called Sweet Nothings. (Pictured)
I am not as in love with this color as I was with the first and I assume that this color will chip just as quickly. Also, It was more difficult to put on not covering the the bottom area of my nail as well as the rest.

I have had the same results with Essie nail color in the past and am generally unimpressed with the more expensive and "luxurious" nail colors.

My conclusion is that there is no difference between the $1.99 nail polishes and the $5.99 nail polishes other than a pretty bottle and a hyped up brand name.

Girls, I suggest you head over to the NYC, Wet & Wild or even Sally Hansen section of the makeup department, select your nail polish from there and save a couple bucks.

Color Tattoo by Maybelline

I had been hunting for a bright colored eyeshadow for spring that I could afford when I saw the commercial for Color Tattoo by Maybelline.
I wonder if it really works I thought and was hesitant about my purchase for a few days.
Finally I picked it up at my local Kmart and the next day wore it out for my Birthday.

7:30 am I applied it to my eye lids and was immediatly impressed with its color. It's so bright and beautiful. It was also very easy to apply, two layers achieving the intensity I was looking for.
Well, I thought, the color is great but let's see how long it lasts.
I went about my day, breakfast with co workers, shopping around town, and dinner with my husband.
9:30 pm I got ready to wash my face and looked in the mirror absolutely amazed.

The color was still bright, it was still perfectly in place, no smudges, no running, and no loss of color at all!
It also washed off easily!
Amazing! I will be buying more Color Tattoo in different colors.

For those of you on a REAL budget like myself the cost of this Color Tattoo eyeshadow is $6.99.
For girls like moi that's a good chunk of change and its hard to hand over.
I promise you though it is totally worth it!

Bunny
